When Albertans facing cancer run out of treatment options, clinical trials can offer hope. They give patients access to leading-edge therapeutics while making it possible for researchers to fine-tune and expand current methods of preventing, detecting, and treating cancer.

Running clinical trials is costly. Your support helps lower drug costs and provides the resources needed for dedicated staff to care for patients. It also raises the quality of care because centres that run trials attract the best and brightest researchers and medical professionals.

The Alberta Cancer Foundation supports every cancer clinical trial taking place right across the province, and that research is a beacon of hope to Albertans facing cancer who have run out of treatment options.

And that’s why we need you.

“Because they’re the key to unlocking new treatments and giving patients like me a chance, donor support for clinical trials means everything to us. Without it, we’re left hoping and waiting for the next good thing to come along.”

~ Eric Hamilton, being treated at the Cross Cancer Institute
