It is currently being deployed on mainnet and will be available to our users soon, bridging the gap between the premier Bitcoin L2 and the broader cross-chain landscape.
ABR0 is the new version of our token, fully migrated to the OFT (Omnichain Fungible Token) standard to allow for seamless bridging with LayerZero support. Following the start of our 1:1 migration from ABR to ABR0 last year, we are excited to launch a major new utility for the token: paying Allbridge Core relayer fees.
I’ve been building bridges long enough to stop being impressed by bridge architecture. Don’t get me wrong: I still respect great engineering. But after years of shipping cross-chain systems, dealing with outages, liquidity shocks, user support tickets, I’ve learned something painfully simple: most bridges didn’t fail because they were technically weak. They failed because they were inconvenient in exactly the moments that mattered to users. We spent a decade discussing how to move assets across chains. The industry treated “asset transfer” like the core problem. Meanwhile users were trying to move value - without being forced into an IOU, without discovering they landed broke on a chain with no gas, without having to learn the social rituals of finding a faucet, a friend, or a DEX with enough liquidity to unstick them. This is not a generic “here’s what we’re excited about” blog post. It’s my attempt to tell the truth about how bridging evolved, why the market keeps swinging between extremes, and why Allbridge's next architecture is deliberately designed to be a hybrid. We are thrilled to announce that Allbridge Core has officially expanded its ecosystem to include Algorand. As we continue our mission to bridge the gap between EVM and non-EVM blockchains, adding a high-performance Layer 1 like Algorand was a natural next step. With this integration, you can now seamlessly bridge native USDC between Algorand and other supported chains on Allbridge Core. This update opens the door for users to access Algorand’s fast and low-cost DeFi ecosystem without the need for wrapped assets or complex workarounds.
In previous parts, we built a Telegram bot that monitors user wallets, liquidity positions, and rewards using Allbridge Core APIs. In this part, we change the perspective. Instead of tracking users, the bot tracks the state of liquidity pools and detects moments when the protocol itself signals that a transfer in a certain direction is economically favorable. This is done without quotes, swaps, or transaction simulation.
