AlphaHacks (Nov. 25th, 2017; 860 Richmond St. W, 3rd floor) is Canada's first youth (secondary/post-secondary) financial technology (fintech) hackathon, bringing together coders, designers, fintech enthusiasts, and innovators at Wealthsimple's Office for a day of learning, competition, and overall fun. The purpose is to expose youth to the nature of rapid technological change that is materializing in the financial sector.

Requirements
The only requirement is that your hack/project should have some relevance or application to finance or fintech - that's it! Whether you create a wireframe UI, app, website - that's all up to you and your team!
Hacks submitted to devpost after the deadline will not be considered. Please submit your hack before 4:30 PM if you wish to be considered for judging and potential prizes.
Prizes
1st Place Hack Prize: Amazon Gift Cards + Wealthsimple Swag
The grand prize is $150 ($30/each) worth of Amazon Gift Cards for this holiday season's spending spree! Wealthsimple swag (e.g. - shirts, bottles, etc.) will be provided as well.
2nd Place Hack Prize: FintechTO Tickets + Wealthsimple Swag
Tickets to FintechTO, premier financial technology conference, worth $100-$150, given to second place winner(s). Wealthsimple swag will also be provided.
3rd Place Hack Prize: Wealthsimple Swag
Each third place winner will receive swag from Wealthsimple (e.g. - bottles, mugs, shirts, etc.).
Raffle Winner: Bose Headphones
A lucky raffle participant will be able to take home a nice set of Bose headphones, specifically favoured by Wealthsimple's very own engineers!

Judging Criteria
Teams will be judged based on three ten point (30 point total maximum score) metrics: technology, design, and pitch. Judges will write notes, provide category, and total scores.
