Custom Lists are lists of AMVs that you curate, based on whatever criteria you choose. Such lists can be used to group all your favorite videos, or to create playlists, or to mark videos that you might want to re-watch at a later time. There are many possible reasons you might want to make your own Custom Lists, so let’s look at how to do just that.
Clicking the “Custom Lists” button on the home window brings up this:
![]()
This lists out any Custom Lists that you have created (leftmost buttons) as well as a few functions that correspond to each list. Let’s take a look at each of these buttons in turn:
(1) List names: Click the Custom List you’d like to view. Assuming you’ve added at least one video to the list, a matrix will pop up that is similar to what you see when you execute a search and functions in exactly the same way, with the only difference being that the rightmost column will have X’s in it. Click the X on a row to remove that video from this Custom List. (Note: This will not delete the video from your database.)
(2) Delete: Clicking this button will delete the Custom List from AMV Tracker. PLEASE NOTE: Deleting a Custom List does not delete any videos from your database — it simply removes the list itself.
(3) Add to list: Click this button to add videos to this Custom List. It will bring up a Custom Search window, which will allow you to narrow your search results to only those videos most relevant to the topic of the Custom List in question. After executing a search, you’ll get search results that look like this:
![]()
…and you’ll want to click the rightmost “+” button (1) on any video in those results that you want to add to the Custom List.
(4) Rename: Click this button to rename your Custom List.
In addition to adding videos to lists in the manner described in point (3) above, you can also add them through accessing a video profile via a traditional search:
![]()
(1) Add to Custom Lists: Click the “+” button and you will be able to add the video to one or more of your existing Custom Lists, or even create new ones:
![]()
