DoorDash announced that it’s launching a new, stand-alone “Tasks” app that will allow the company to pay its delivery couriers to complete assignments aimed at improving AI and robotic systems. Delivery couriers will be able to earn money by completing activities like filming everyday tasks or recording themselves speaking in another language, DoorDash says. Bloomberg reports that the original audio and video footage submitted by workers will be used to evaluate both the company’s in-house AI models and those developed by its partners in the retail, insurance, hospitality, and technology sectors. One example of a task involves asking a courier to capture footage of their hands washing at least five dishes while wearing a body camera, holding each clean dish in frame for a few seconds before moving on to the next.

Facebook announced that it’s launching “Creator Fast Track,” a new program designed to help creators grow on Facebook with guaranteed pay and increased content reach. The social network also shared that it paid creators nearly $3 billion through its monetization programs in 2025, a 35% increase from the previous year and its highest annual total to date. The idea behind the new monetization program is to entice creators who have built followings on other platforms to start posting on Facebook. Instead of starting from scratch on a new platform, creators can use the program to attain increased reach on eligible Reels to help speed up their follower growth, plus three months of guaranteed pay for sharing eligible Reels on Facebook. Creators in the program can earn $1,000 per month if they have at least 100,000 followers on Instagram, TikTok, or YouTube, and $3,000 per month if they have over one million followers on any one of those platforms.

Amazon is expanding access to a program called Shop Direct that lets U.S. customers discover and buy products not sold in its own online store. The retail giant said it will now support third-party product feeds, which merchants use to provide information about their inventory, pricing, and catalog to other partners. With this information, Amazon can direct shoppers to a merchant’s website via its search results or its AI shopping assistant, Rufus, and even let customers use AI to make a purchase. The company has added support for third-party product feeds from Feedonomics, Salsify, and CedCommerce, which provide Amazon access to merchants’ inventory and product information in real time. More feed providers will be supported in time, and an Amazon merchant portal with a merchant-direct feed is said to be coming soon.

Adobe announced that its AI assistant for Photoshop is becoming available to users in beta on the web and in the mobile apps. The company is also adding new AI-powered image-editing capabilities to Firefly, its tool for media generation and editing. The creative tooling company first announced an AI assistant for Photoshop during its MAX event in October. The feature, now rolling out to users, can help them remove objects or people from images, change colors, or adjust lighting through prompts. Users can also use natural language to instruct the AI assistant to add soft glow, crop in a specific format, enhance shadows, or transform the background to give a different look to your image. Adobe said that paid users of Photoshop will be able to create unlimited generations with the AI assistant through April 9, and free users will get 20 generations to start with. The company is also adding a new feature called AI markup in public beta, which lets people draw markers on the screen and use the AI assistant to transform those objects. For instance, you can draw a flower or mark an object to remove to modify the background.

Every PR practitioner has seen it happen: A client with great potential quietly undermines their own PR strategy, not through scandal or crisis, but through minor actions that seem harmless—until they aren’t. A polished yet lifeless quote here, a blitz of dud press releases there, and before long, media connections that took years to cultivate start to fray. The good news is that most of these client missteps share a common thread: a basic misunderstanding of what PR is and how it works over time. Members of Forbes Agency Council shared insights into mistakes they’ve repeatedly seen clients make with PR and media and how they coached them toward more strategic, effective and sustainable approaches. Jordan Edelson, CEO of Appetizer Mobile, stated, “We often see overspending on PR for short-term wins without a clear long-term strategy. While this can generate quick visibility, it often leads to diminishing returns over time and forces reactive pivots. We coach clients to focus on sustained partnerships and strategic media investments that create lasting brand equity and deliver value not just to current audiences, but to future ones as well”. Google announced a series of new features coming to the Android ecosystem, alongside its March software update for Pixel phones, called the Pixel Drop. Notably, Android users are getting a new way to find lost luggage. If users have added a Find Hub-compatible tracker tag to their luggage, they can now share a link with participating airlines to help identify the location of the luggage. In the Find Hub app, users can now select their lost item and tap “share item location” to generate a unique, secure URL. Then, users can copy the link and paste it into the airline’s mobile app or website so the luggage can be tracked as it moves. Google says the link automatically expires after seven days, and that sharing is disabled once your phone detects the luggage is back with you. More than 10 global airlines, including Ajet, Air India, China Airlines, the Lufthansa Group (Lufthansa, Austrian Airlines, Brussels Airlines, and Swiss International Airlines), Saudia Airlines, Scandinavian Airlines, and Turkish Airlines now accept Find Hub locations as part of their baggage recovery process.

After deal talks lasting almost a year, MyFitnessPal has successfully acquired its up-and-coming rival Cal AI. Cal AI is the AI calorie counting app startup built by two high school teenagers that soared to over 15 million downloads and over $30 million in annual revenue in under two years. The Cal AI team of seven employees, including its co-founder CEO Zach Yadegari, plus a small team of contractors, have been retained by MyFitnessPal (MFP). The Cal AI app will remain independent, with its same ease-of-use mission: estimating calories by taking pictures of food. One upgrade for Cal AI users has occurred already since the deal closed in December: The AI app has now been integrated with MFP’s huge nutrition database. That database spans 20 million foods, 68,500 brands, and meals served at 380+ restaurant chains.

Snapchat announced that it’s hosting its first-ever awards show on March 21. The social media giant says the awards show, called “The Snappys,” is designed to celebrate “the creators shaping culture on Snapchat. ”Creators will receive awards like “Spotlight MVP,” “Best Storyteller,” and “Breakout Creator of the Year,” alongside awards across fashion, beauty, sports, music, food, and games. Additional categories include collaboration, comedy, and cultural impact. Snapchat is the latest social media platform to launch awards for creators. Meta-owned Instagram introduced a new “Ring” award last October to recognize creators around the world. Instagram announced the 25 winners online, and each winner received a physical custom ring designed by English fashion designer Grace Wales Bonner, along with a digital golden ring around their Instagram profile.

YouTube is expanding its more affordable, $7.99 per month Premium Lite subscription service with new features, including the ability to download videos for offline access and watch videos in the background, even if the screen is off or you’re using other apps. These options were previously only available to customers on its full plan, which costs $13.99 per month. The company said the additions were the result of user feedback, as customers in its pilot program shared that they wanted these specific features to make the subscription more attractive. Launched last March, YouTube Premium Lite introduced a more modestly priced subscription tier that would remove ads from “most” videos on the platform, including those across popular verticals like gaming, fashion, beauty, cooking, news, and more. However, ads would continue to be shown on music content and music videos. Plus, customers on the Lite plan won’t have access to the ad-free YouTube Music app.

After initially testing its AI-powered “Prompted Playlist” feature in New Zealand and recently launching in the U.S. and Canada, Spotify announced that it’s rolling out the tool to Premium subscribers in the U.K., Ireland, Australia, and Sweden. The Prompted Playlist feature allows users to create custom playlists by simply describing what they want to listen to in their own words. Instead of searching for individual songs or artists, users can describe the vibe, scenario, or inspiration they want, and Spotify will take care of the rest.
