"Glide Tracks" is a compilation of Mental Health Consumer's ambient-leaning electronic, soundscape, and IDM tracks with a common theme: scoring a conceptual trip through the air in defiance of gravity and lack of wings. Inspired by a request from a world-record-holding hang glider to provide musical accompaniment for gliding videos, the tracks selected here fit that purpose. But they also provide a soundtrack for contemplation of other inward flights of fancy. Mental Health Consumer (Brian Ruskin) released some of these tracks from 2010 - 2022 under other guises (Down Team Up, AVID: Advances in Obsolete Technology, and Gears in the Rain), but they share a common musical style and inspiration: awe of nature and of change.
