Countries protecting their tech advantages and companies playing hardball isn’t some spy novel. It’s just geopolitics and business as usual. Not everything has to be spun into a Cold War sequel.

I am struggling with reporting a firmware issue to Dell. I have reached out to others via Reddit and found someone who can reproduce this issue on his device, so it’s definitely a firmware issue, however the people at the technical support on twitter are telling me they can’t forward a firmware bug to developers.
I have written about the issue here: https://www.reddit.com/r/Dell/comments/kolmf7/how_to_report_a_bios_firmware_bug_to_dell/

Me and a few others would appreciate if you could help us out. Thank you very much!

Hi ! Finally bought the 9310 Windows edition (could not find the dev ed. on the french dell website) with only 16GB, 32GB is too expensive (also because it has to come with 2TB m2).
Anyway, I can’t get my hands on the ubuntu 20.04 LTS disk image, only the windows image is offered. If you have links of resources materials. Thanks

Please make one with a Ryzen processor so I can give you my money.

It was on US site few month ago, I’ve ordered one. But I can’t see it now as well. I think that amount of available configurations reduced in preparation of update (I expect it to release this year)

In NZ their site offers very few configuration options – a much more limited selection than the the US site.

Maybe by the time they sort out the rest of the world actually being able to buy this, they’ll have out-of-the-box compatibility for the 2in1 with 32GB as well. Yeah Right!

Same thing on US website. I can’t find any Linux 32GB RAM model. It doesn’t even have any Memory customization option.

Agree. It is also hard to find things on the UK store. If I type “linux” in the search box then three “New XPS 13” configurations appear in the results. But if I refine by operating system: Ubuntu, there is only 1 result. I am left with the feeling that I might be missing an option hidden somewhere else on there. Is there a straightforward list of which configurations are available and in which markets?

This post was created in January, but still I can’t choose the 32GB option in any of Dells online shops. Is there a link? I am trying to order from Germany.

Hi !
Get a windows version and install ubuntu on it, no big deal (except paying for a windows licence. At least you have the 32 GB option 😉
