Bath Hack 2021 is a 24 hour virtual hackathon taking place on the 10th-11th April. The event is exclusive to University of Bath students where teams of up to 4 are given 24 hours to create any system they want. Teams can then submit their systems to be judged for specific prize tracks for a chance of winning an exclusive prize!
Eligibility
Only current/past University of Bath students.
Requirements
You will need to submit a simple 1-3 minute demo video (uploaded to YouTube) showing off what you've made, as well as a basic written explanation.
This must be done by Sunday 12:00pm (midday).
Prizes
Most Entertaining
Show us your fun side - make something that will entertain us! This doesn't need to be an app with 10,000 levels to it, just something that we had fun with, and that has the potential to lead on to something more.
This one is quite open-ended, so have some fun with it!
Prizes
Each team member may pick one of the following:
HyperX Cloud II Gaming Headset,
Ultimate Ears WONDERBOOM 2 Speaker,
4th Gen Echo Dot with clock and Alexa.
More than one team member can pick the same prize!
Most Impressive
For this track you have to blow us away with your hack. There is no specific way you should blow us away, you can do anything from building a beautifully designed UI with perfect execution to a system that will barely holds together for the demo but has accomplished a lot in the time frame.

Audio-Technica ATH-M30x Professional Monitor Headphones,

\Tech - Backslash Build
For this track you must wow the judges from Backslash Build by using technologies that they use within their company. These are: React, React Native, Node, and C#. The goal isn’t to use as many as possible but is instead to demonstrate skills with these languages/frameworks.
You do not need to use all of these! The team(s) that win this track will have impressed the judges from Backslash Build, while also using tech they are familiar with.
Prizes
Each team member may pick one of the following:

Logitech MS Master 2S Mouse,

\Design - Backslash Build
This track is an easy one as everyone who participates in this track gets the prize! All you have to do is demonstrate user interface or user experience planning and design.
For example, making a wireframe or sketch of your app before building it.
Prizes
All team members will receive a UI & UX Responsive Sketch Pad For Wireframing and Prototyping.
CIVICA - Tech for Good
For this track you need to design a system that could make a positive difference to citizen experience in aftermath of COVID-19: “life-saving, life-enhancing or life-changing”. We are particularly interested in healthcare, education, housing and local government sectors. Key challenges include delivering remote/contactless (self) services, accessing information and (re)building engaged communities. Basically it should be an idea that uses software to deliver better outcomes for our communities.
