To support the accounting of users with very large transaction history, Blockpath now offers unlimited transaction exports to Excel format. Just search for your addresses as usual, and use the export icon located above the transaction list on the right-hand side, or access the export from the Apps page.

To become a Premium User, log in and select "Top-Up Premium" from the top right user dropdown menu.

Since interest for Blockpath's Explorer and QuickBooks integration has been growing outside of our USA market, we've made the move to now support almost every fiat currency globally.

Our Bitcoin Price Converter can now use historical exchange rates when converting between any of the following currencies!

Bitcoin, mBTC, uBTC, Satoshis, US Dollar, Chinese Yuan, Japanese Yen, Pound Sterling, Euro, Thai Baht, and Canadian Dollar.

Use the date selector to choose a date, and the tool will fetch and use the exchange rate on that day.

A Message From Blockpath's Founder

I would like to explain why Blockpath has had little to no improvements over the last year.

In April 2019, I contracted a serious infection from food while traveling overseas. It left me incredibly sick for the next 15 months, with strong fatigue, brain fog, and confusion that made it impossible for me to even try to work on Blockpath.

Long story short, I visited about 15 doctors around the world, did every test I could find, and everything always came back negative. Every doctor told me it was all in my head, so it was up to me to be my own doctor and find the treatment necessary.

After trying a long list of treatments and pills, my research led me to undergo a voluntary surgery, even against the surgeon's recommendations...

Two months after the surgery I began feeling better again! Today, I'm back to 90% capacity, and committed to working on Blockpath full-time once again.

Blockpath's Goals - March 2019

We are going to take our accounting tools to a professional level this month.

I've just finished a consulting call with an accountant who is also a customer of ours, and he laid out the key difficulties of crypto accounting, and how Blockpath can solve them. In addition to the complete tax calculation app we are rolling out this week, Blockpath will also focus on the following problem:

Problem: It is difficult and time consuming to attach 'context' to crypto transactions. While typical fiat data provided by banks has the customer and product attached to the transaction, Bitcoin transactions do not have this data. We plan to fix this by creating a "Transaction Contextualizer" system.

Other than having a cool name, this system will allow the accountant to step through transactions, attach a customer/product/document/receipt, modify the exchange rate or QuickBooks item type, and push the changes to QuickBooks. We plan to tie this feature into our existing "Transaction Rules" system, so you can save your changes to a rule that can be automatically applied to other items.

In addition, we will import your BTC contacts from QuickBooks, to allow you to assign them to transactions. This is already possible from our Rules system, but we want to improve upon it and make it more accessible from the new Transaction Contextualizer.

So that's the goal for the next 3 weeks. Crypto is growing, and we will be here support the community and accountants by simplifying the accounting process as much as we can!

Blockpath App: Export To Excel

Sometimes you want your Bitcoin transaction data in a simple Excel .xlsx format, so you can move it to other applications and process it with your own tools.

We've made an app that will export all transactions currently loaded in your wallet/search page into an Excel format.

It will include columns detailing each of your addresses that were involved, along with the value transferred for each of them. If you have any tag labels on a transaction, they will also be shown in the 'Tags' column as well.

Only transactions that are currently loaded into the table will be exported. If your addresses have many transactions, you may have to load the next pages of the table to have them included in your export.

Blockpath App: xPub Analyzer

An xPub is a public key that HD wallets use to generate unlimited new receiving addresses. Given an xPub, you can derive all possible receiving addresses. However, different wallets use different methods to derive these addresses, and it can be difficult to know which method and which addresses have been used.

This app allows you search through these different derivation paths, and see the BTC amount received + current balance of all addresses along the path.

The xPub analyzer has two main modes:

Scan All Mode Automatically scan all derivation paths for an xPub/yPub/zPub and view the balance of each used address. This mode will scan over 3915 possible addresses within different possible derivation paths. If a used derivation path is found, we automatically increase the gap limit from 20 to 150 to be sure all used addresses are found.

Manual Generation Mode

In this mode, you choose the derivation path you would like to generate addresses for. You can generate as many addresses as you'd like, see the balance for each, and you can export them as text for use in other applications!

We have already added some typical derivation paths in the drop-down menu, but you can also manually search other paths using the 'Custom' option as well.

Hardened Derivation Paths Some Bitcoin applications use hardened derivation paths have apostrophe characters ( ' ) like this m/44'/0'/0' . That means only the extended private key/seed can be used to generate account addresses. Our app can not be used to search for these addresses, because it is unsafe to ever enter your private keys or seeds onto a web app. If you suspect your wallet used hardened derivation paths, you will have to manually search through derivation paths using one of the local command line tools here: https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Deterministic_wallet_tools

Bech32 addresses are working!
You can now view bitcoin amounts in other currencies, including your fiat currency in the exchange rate at the time of transaction! Access this in the settings menu on the left sidebar of a search page.
We've added many tools in a new tab on the search/wallet pages, including a price chart, xpub analyzer, currency exchange calculator and a feature to export data to XLSX.
Your watch-only wallet data can be backed-up on our servers so you can access it from any device.

New Features: Privacy oriented address tracking with address+tx labeling.

I've been pushing out features that will help you to manage and track your blockchain activity more easily. No more having your coins randomly scattered between hardware/phone/paper wallets and not knowing their status, here is a dashboard for tracking all of your coins.

After starting an ordinary search, open the "edit search" tab to add multiple addresses/xpubs, label them, and then save your watch-only wallet.

The data can either be saved directly inside your browser, or you can copy the raw text data elsewhere onto your computer. Your wallet addresses are never stored on Blockpath servers, you control your data.

New Features: Currency Conversions, Bulk Import, Improved Value Display, more...

Just rolled out some new features for Blockpath:

You can convert the currency units used to -> mBTC, Satoshis, USD, CNY, Euro and more. Use the settings button in the table toolbar to select your currency.
Login to your Blockpath account to save your currency + graph settings for when you come back.
Import multiple addresses, transactions, or xPubs by opening the "Add Address" button at the top of the table page and pasting a comma-separated list of items.
The "Amount" column of the table will now show the total value gained or sent to/from all of the addresses that you have imported into the app. This will help you if you have many transactions between your own addresses (as is common with xPubs and change addresses!), to show you only the amount you sent or received.
Click address QR codes to get a larger full screen version to improve scanning.
Various Bug Fixes...

New Feature: You can now search for a xPub account!

Track the balance of an xPub (or multiple xPubs!!) and graph the connections between the different addresses involved. Try it out with this example xPub:

Current implementation: It searches the '0' key space for receiving addresses with a gap limit of 20, and then joins together the change address "1" keyspace. Address limit is at 50 while we are testing the load of this feature.
