Our mission
In 1985, Barry Karlin was driving in circles around San Francisco with an outdated paper map. He wondered, “What if there was a better way to get directions?” Determined to find it, Barry teamed up with engineer Galen Collins, and together, they turned a spark of an idea into a new industry.
