Well, wasn’t aware it had gone GA, but glad to see it! 🙂

It has always been the plan to obsolete wordpress-mu once the necessary changes got merged into core wordpress; we’ve been just one amongst many requesters for that. The multi-user functionality should benefit from the (much) wider adoption core wordpress has, and everyone benefits in the end.

Now I just need to start the Fedora obsoletes process…

You are probably already aware WordPress 3.0 just dropped with MU merged in 🙂 Anyway just wanted to give you props for your efforts, they are appreciated!!

Comment on Centralized Home Storage by bretm https://bretm.wordpress.com/2009/11/07/centralized-home-storage/#comment-33 Sat, 06 Feb 2010 14:36:41 +0000 http://bretm.wordpress.com/?p=77#comment-33 In reply to Evgueni.

I got the AD4SAML boards from Addonics, as part of the Storage Tower. I picked up the cable from newegg.com.

(Sadly, the server that hosted the infiniband board has since died, so I’m trying to get the config to work w/ eSata running off a lighter-weight machine… it’s not proving nearly as easy as the SAS connection 😦 )

As for Open Solaris, it’s just my own innate Fedora/Red Hat bias (I work @ RH) 🙂

Thank you for sharing your storage configuration.
My question where did you buy the
AD4SAML boards and the Infiniband cable?

BTW, OpenSolaris with ZFS would be perfect, there are
RAIDZ2 (Raid 6) and Raidz3 (triple parity) available.

Thank you
Evgueni
