Essa Nadeem spent last summer helping people.

That’s how the political science student describes his co-op as a Municipal Law Enforcement Officer Student, patrolling Hamilton’s parks for the city’s by-law office.

“It was the first job where I was given authority, which allowed me to help people.”

Three years ago, the stars aligned when Jaden Chow, on a family trip to Florida, met @mcmastereng students who were launching a satellite on the beach that night.

Chow — who's had a passion for space science since a young age — knew in that moment he wanted to go to Mac.

He wanted to do what the @mcmastersatellite students were doing: work in space science and make a difference to humanity.

Three years later, Chow is a third-year Engineering Physics and Management co-op student at McMaster.

And his dreams are coming true: he's currently interning with the @CanadianSpaceAgency, where his role involves active engineering project management, performing risk assessments, and developing tracking tools to support the leadership of complex space systems.
