Participation Requirements

All participants must be registered and accepted to attend Buildathon. Teams can consist of 4 members max. You must be a current college student in the U.S. to participate.

Presentation & Prize Eligibility

In-Person Attendance is Required – At least one team member must be present during the Hacker Expo to showcase the project. Winners must attend the Award Ceremony in person to claim their prize. If no team members are present, the prize will be forfeited. In order to receive Anthropic credits, please review the following document with a guide to find your Anthropic organization ID, and other important information about the buildathon (Buildathon Document (GDocs)). The form to submit your Anthropic organization ID is included at the bottom of the document.

Project & Submission Rules

Teams must submit their project by 12 PM on Sunday to be eligible for judging. All work must be completed during the Buildathon – if work is added to pre-existing projects, this must be disclosed to judges. Projects must adhere to ethical guidelines and not violate any intellectual property rights.

Event Conduct

All participants must follow the event’s Code of Conduct and maintain a respectful and collaborative environment. Any form of cheating, plagiarism, or inappropriate behavior may result in disqualification.

 

Our hackathon is dedicated to providing a safe and comfortable environment and harassment-free experience for everyone, regardless of the following:

  • gender
  • gender identity and expression
  • age
  • sexual orientation
  • disability
  • physical appearance
  • body size
  • race
  • ethnicity
  • nationality
  • religion
  • political views
  • previous hackathon attendance or lack of
  • computing experience or lack of
  • chosen programming language or tech stack

We do not tolerate harassment of hackathon participants in any form. Sexual language and imagery is not appropriate at any hackathon venue, this includes the following.

  • hacks

  • talks, presentations, or demos

  • workshops

  • any parties associated to the hackathon

  • social media

  • any other online media

Hackathon participants violating these rules may be sanctioned or expelled from the hackathon at the discretion of the hackathon organisers.
