ByteWars is a 76-hour hackathon where innovators, developers, designers, and students unite to tackle real-world problems using cutting-edge technology. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced coder, ByteWars is your chance to push boundaries, collaborate across disciplines, learn from mentors, and create meaningful solutions.

Eligibility & Team Composition
  • Open to all students (high school, college, or university) — no restrictions by major or prior experience.

  • Teams of 1–4 members (each member must register).

  • Inter-college and cross-discipline teams are encouraged (mix developers, designers, and business minds).

Teams will choose from six exciting challenges, each addressing issues people truly care about:

  1. AI for Email Management
    Design a system that categorizes, prioritizes, and summarizes a user’s inbox to reduce stress and boost productivity.

  2. AI for Fake News Checking
    Build a tool that analyzes articles or social media posts to detect misinformation, rate credibility, and help users validate sources.

  3. AI Agent for Local Services
    A system that searches, compares, and books local service providers (plumbers, tutors, gyms, repairmen, etc.) by integrating multiple APIs and sources.

  4. Deepfake & Phishing Defense
    Create a tool that detects deepfake audio/video scams or phishing attempts in real time before they reach the user.

  5. Education Finder App
    Build a mobile application to help students easily discover courses, universities, and colleges worldwide.

  6. Open Theme Innovation
    Students are free to solve any real-world issue in the domains of UI/UX, Web3, or AI, showcasing their creativity.

Students should submit a live link(github, vercel etc) and presentation deck in pdf format Format & Judging Process
  • Timeline: 76 hours of hacking. Problem statements are announced at the start, with mentor sessions and periodic check-ins along the way.

  • Mentorship: Experienced mentors will guide teams on technical, design, or implementation challenges.

  • Submission: Teams must submit a working prototype + presentation before the deadline. Late submissions may not be considered.

Judging Criteria:

  • Innovation & Creativity – originality of the idea.

  • Real-World Impact – usefulness, scalability, relevance.

  • Technical Execution – functionality, performance, robustness.

  • User Experience & Design – UI/UX quality, clarity, intuitiveness.

  • Presentation & Demo – clarity in explaining what was built, how, and why.
