Megan was a software engineer co-op for two terms with Canadian space & defence company, MDA Ltd. During her time there Megan was responsible for the implementation of SAR image processing algorithms for the CP-140 maritime patrol aircraft for the Royal Canadian Airforce.
Previously, Megan was the president and team captain of SFU Satellite Design Team where she led the team during the design of a 3U cube satellite for the Canadian Satellite Design Challenge 5. Near the end of her term at SFU Satellite, Megan pivoted the team to collaborate with UBC in the development of a 1U cube satellite called ALEASAT due for launch to LEO in 2022. Lastly, Megan was a project manager with SFU Aerospace where she led the third High Altitude Balloon project that was launched and recovered in August 2021.
