Plan Offerings
CalCPA Health is excited to launch new Alternative Health Plans (AHP) in 2026. These plans use the full Anthem PPO network and feature a simple tiered copay structure, so members know their costs upfront. No referrals, no gatekeepers—and they come at a lower cost than our traditional plans, with easy access to quality care nationwide. Learn more about our new plans and search for in-network healthcare providers.
Preferred Provider Organization (PPO) plans allow you to see any physician or eligible provider without a referral. The Standard Prudent Buyer Network is Anthem's largest network, featuring over 100,000 participating physicians and almost 400 hospitals in California. Using medical providers in the PPO network reduces deductibles, coinsurance, and total out-of-pocket costs compared to providers outside the PPO network. Learn more about our medical plan offerings.
Preferred Provider Organization (PPO) plans allow you to see any physician or eligible provider without a referral. The Select Network is smaller and offers premium savings with a typical range of 2% to 12% depending on the selected rating region and or/plan.
Exclusive Provider Organization (EPO) plans offer overall savings on premiums and provide the same benefits as PPO plans, with one key difference: you must stay within the network, as out-of-network visits are not covered (except in an emergency). CalCPA Health does not use a gatekeeper/primary care physician (PCP), which some EPO plans in the market require.
Health Savings Account (HSA) plans offer tax advantages and can be paired with high-deductible health plans to provide a cost-effective way to manage healthcare expenses - both now and for the future.
Health Maintenance Organization (HMO) plans are available to firms with two or more plan participants. The HMO plans are offered in both the standard and select networks. The HMO network includes over 60,000 physicians and almost 400 hospitals in California. In an HMO, the member selects a doctor from the Anthem HMO network to serve as their Primary Care Physician (PCP), and this physician is responsible for managing your medical needs, including referrals to other doctors and specialty care. There are no claim forms to fill out when you use an in-network provider.
Solo practitioners (no W-2 employees) have access to CalCPA Health's PPO, EPO, and HSA plans. Solos are not eligible for HMO plans.
All medical plans provide the following:
