All that you need to know about Case-O-Heist

This forum, the Model Club of Birsa Institute of Technology, Sindri, Dhanbad, Jharkhand, India, in association with JetBrains ( a Czech software development company that makes tools for software developers and project managers), are bringing up to you a chance to come forward with your innovative ideas and save the sinking humanity. We attempt solutions to industry-level problems that are frugal in nature. Through outstanding exposure and direction, the "Case-O-Heist" aspires to bring out the best in each of us. It is up to the enlightened minds to delve into some of the most complex real-life situations and come up with their unique and innovative answers!

 

Eligibility: Anyone who’s motivated enough to solve the problems existing in the country is free to participate. There’s no boundation of degree or level of education.

Requirements: All participants should comply with the rules and regulations at each stage.

Requirements

Hatch the Plan

The event commences with the first round, Hatch the Plan where participants are to submit there unique and innovate ideas for the problem case.Interested students have to select one problem case from all the mentioned missions (problem cases) to work on. We also have an Open Case for those teams/participants who want to present solutions to other existing problems currently which are not mentioned in the problem cases. The submissions for Hatch the Plan should be in pdf format. File naming format: TeamName_CollegeName.pdf The word limit for the abstract is 300 words. The abstract should contain a brief description of your solution to the selected problem/case. The participants should illustrate their solutions through proper flowcharts, descriptive diagrams, or system process flow for better clarity. The pdf should necessarily include a drive link to the video introduction of the team. The team leader is supposed to record a video specifying the detailed team profile, their college name, and the selected case which they will be working upon. The solution or the idea should be strictly related to the domain mentioned in the listed case. Plagiarism is not allowed. The abstract should be 100% unique.

Pitch Perfect

All the top shortlisted teams will present their ideas or working prototypes to an evaluating judging panel in a Google Meet session. The ideas will be judged on several parameters and the top 10 teams will qualify for the final.

Face-Off

The last phase of the event is Face-Off round. The final battle of ideas will be fought between the top 10 teams, where they will be covering the business aspect of the solution in front of the esteemed jury panel. The ideas will be judged on various parameters and the winning team will be declared on the basis of the marking scheme.
