What is the Science Gateways Catalog?
The Science Gateway Catalog is a collection of gateways and gateway-building technologies that offer a searchable way for developers and users to find existing resources.
What is inside the Catalog?
The catalog features two main types of projects:
- Science gateways, also known as research platforms, eScience, portals, or Virtual Research Environments (VREs)
- Gateway-related software that can be used to build or enhance gateways
Items are further categorized by discipline, and special gateways are tagged as educational or clients of the Science Gateways Community Institute.
What you can do with the Catalog?
Gateway creators can save time by reusing the gateway technologies. With the Catalog, you can identify existing software that you might use to shorten your development process. Also, browsing existing gateways might inspire you to see a way of building your own gateway.
