About Me

Hello! My name is Yuen Chen, and I am a CS PhD candidate at University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, advised by Prof. Hari Sundaram and Prof. Han Zhao. My research focuses on causal machine learning and trustworthy machine learning. In Summer 2025, I interned at Capital One AI Foundation. I previously interned at the Max Planck Institute for Intelligent Systems in Tübingen, Germany, where I worked with Prof. Bernhard Schölkopf and Zhijing Jin. I graduated from UC Berkeley with a B.A. in Applied Mathematics and Statistics in December 2022.
