Aleo CodeSprint v4.0: Build Zero-Knowledge dApps on Aleo

Join CodeSprint v4.0, an elimination-style hackathon to create innovative zero-knowledge (ZK) decentralized applications (dApps) on the Aleo blockchain. Form a team of 1-5 developers, pick a category, and compete for a share of 50,000 Aleo Tokens! Showcase your skils, solve real-world problems with privacy-first solutions, and join the Aleo ecoystem. Competition Structure

  • Elimination Format: Teams compete to reach the finalist stage, with an X number of finalists selected.
  • Finals: Finalists demo their dApps on Discord (August 27, 2025), followed by voting via Aleo GovBot to select the top 3 winners.

 

Reward Pool & Condition

1st Place: 20,000 Aleo Tokens
2nd Place: 15,000 Aleo Tokens
3rd Place: 7,000 Aleo Tokens
Finalists: 1,500 Aeo Tokens Each
Total: 50,000 Aleo Tokens

 

Conditions

  • Tokens require mainnet deployment and maintenance.
  • Paid within 30 days of August 29, 2025, with lockup period.
  • Participants should consult legal advisors; organizers are encouraged to ensure legal compliance.

Edge Cases

  • Ties in elimination voting are resolved by the judging panel.
  • If insufficient qualified projects, consolation prizes may be awarded at judges’ discretion.
  Conditions: Prizes are awarded post-mainnet deployment and maintenance, paid within 30 days of competition end (August 29, 2025), subject to a lockup period. Consult legal advisors for rights/obligations.

  • Testnet Tokens: Request testnet tokens for development.
  • Mainnet Tokens: Finalists receive mainnet tokens for deployment.
  • Requirements:
    • Build novel dApps on Aleo during the competition (August 5 to 27.)
    • Use any tech stack, but integrate with Aleo blockchain (see resources below).
    • Finalists must present a demo on Discord (September 3rd, 2025 to qualify for voting.
    • Credit all libraries/frameworks used; no pre-existing code/projects allowed.

Eligibility 

  • Open to individuals or teams (1–5 members).
  • All team members must meet eligibility criteria.
  • Projects previously funded by Aleo grants are ineligible.
  • Only new projects built during the competition are eligible.
  • Team changes: Report dropouts to organizers; no new members post-registration.

  • Can teams change tracks? Yes, anytime before submission; only the final submission counts.
  • What if a team member drops out? Teams can continue with fewer members; report changes. No new members post-registration.
  • Tech stack restrictions? None, as long as it integrates with Aleo.
  • Can we use existing code? No, all code must be written during the competition. Libraries/frameworks allowed with credit.
  • How does voting work? Aleo GovBot facilitates final voting by ambassadors based on Discord demos.
  • What if there’s a tie? Judges decide tiebreakers.
  • What if there aren’t enough qualified projects? Consolation prizes may be awarded at judges’ discretion.
