Eligibility

  • This hackathon is open to students (high school, college, or equivalent self-directed learners).
    Student verification may be requested for finalist or prize eligibility.

  • First-time hackathon participants are highly encouraged

  • No professional experience required

  • Participants must follow Devpost’s community guidelines

 

This hackathon is designed to be inclusive and beginner-friendly.

 

Project and Submission Requirements

  • Projects must be created during the hackathon period

  • Submissions must align with the official theme

  • Projects must be original and created by the participant or team

  • Teams or solo submissions are allowed (as specified by the event)

  • Proper credit must be given for third-party resources

Incomplete but well-documented projects are acceptable for beginners.

 

Prizes

Prizes are focused on recognition and learning, not monetary competition.

Judging Criteria and Winner Selection

Projects will be evaluated using the following criteria:

Problem Understanding & Relevance (20%)
How clearly is the problem defined and explained?

Simplicity & Usability (25%)
Is the project easy to understand and use?

Creativity & Execution (20%)
Does the project show thoughtful ideas and effort?

Functionality & Completion (20%)
Does the project work as intended for a beginner-level build?

Presentation & Documentation (15%)
Is the project explanation clear and well-organized?

Judges will prioritize learning progress and effort, not advanced technical complexity.
