About the challenge
The UofT AI Ethics Hackathon is an exciting opportunity for participants to explore innovative ways to coexist with AI in everyday life, healthcare, and more. Participants will work in teams of 3 to develop human-centered, ethical AI-powered solutions without requiring code. The hackathon will focus on creating responsible AI systems that benefit individuals and society, addressing issues like bias, privacy, and fairness.
Get started
Participants will brainstorm ideas, create an ethical matrix balancing stakeholders and values, prototype in Figma, and build a pitch presentation. Teams will define a problem aligned with the theme of "Co-existence with AI" and subthemes including AI in healthcare, AI in every day life, and invisible AI. By the end of the day, participants will have a functional prototype and a clear business case that addresses the ethical use of AI.
