Project: New Materials For Nuclear Fusion

Currently I am working on New Materials for Nuclear Fusion at ACTAlab. The project aims to investigate High Entropy Alloys for applications in fusion reactors, in collaboration with MIT, University of Julich, and Oxford Sigma. More information to come soon!

SEDS Sounding Rocket

I am on the SEDS-SG team for the Spaceport America Cup 2022. We intend to build a sounding rocket capable of reaching 3km, to participate in the Self-Designed category of Spaceport America Cup 2022.

Microplastic Suspension and Detector Device

For my 30.102 Electromagnetics and Applications Project, my group and I created a portable device which is able to detect the concentration of microplastics in a test sample.

The project utilises a custom designed meander antenna, along with jointly designed meander channels, to detect the differences in dielectric constant between water and contaminants such as plastic.

Project: MIMIR

For my 30.007 Engineering Design and Innovation Project, my group and I launched Project: Mimir.

The project is a low-cost, medium-volume braille embosser, to help improve accessibility of braille materials for the visually impaired.

Project: Mimir went on to win Best Prototype at SUTD 30.007 Exhibition 2022!

Solar Powered Desiccant Based Evaporative Cooler

For our mod Designing Energy Systems in Autumn 2021, we were tasked to improve the thermodynamic efficiency of a product on the market, applying principles from the mod.

My Group chose to improve an Evaporative Cooler by adding a desiccation stage, and upgrading the fan. The idea is inspired by Tech Ingredients’ Revolutionary Air Conditioner

Over the summer of 2021 I worked on a sputtering research project under Prof Robert E Simpson. The project involved optimising the sputtering machine to achieve uniform samples.

WTH2021: Environment – Best Built Environment Hack
Gardens by the HDBay

Over the weekend of 18th-19th Sep 2021 a group of my friends and I signed up for What The Hack: Environment organised by SUTD, sponsored by Indeed and GovTech. My Team,
( ͡° ͜◯ ͡°) ＣＬＯＷＮ ＦＩＥＳＴＡ ( ͡° ͜◯ ͡°), won Best Hack in Built Environment! A surprise to be sure, but a welcome one 🙂

Prusa i3 Mk3S+

I recently bought the Prusa i3 Mk3S+ as an upgrade to me Creality Ender 3 Pro. While the Ender 3 served me well, the Prusa i3 Mk3S+ promises greater relioability and more precise prints, as well as additional features such as automatic bed levelling and printing via USB.

RetroPie Gaming Console

While stuck home I decided to put together a RetroPie Game Console as a quick project. A RetroPie is a Raspberry Pi powered console capable of emulating older console games such as those from Gameboy Advance (GBA), Playstation Portable (PSP), Nintendo 64 (N64), and others. It is a quick and easy build and has the potential for hours of fun afterwards!

CrowdFlux

For my Term 2 Design Project in SUTD, my group and I designed Project CrowdFlux. Project CrowdFlux is an end-to-end gamified crowd redistribution system. It aims to ensure safe distancing in Changi Jewel.

We are excited to share that CrowdFlux has been chosen as a Finalist for the Singapore Creator Awards 2021!

Wireless Charging LEDs

For my Term 2 Physics Project in SUTD, I designed and fabricated a wireless-charging LED system. This system can be used to light up models and figures wirelessly, eliminating the need to run wires through your models or batteries. This system can also be easily modified to support wireless mobile charging.

Creality Ender 3 Pro

In 2020 I purchased and assembled a Creality Ender 3 Pro 3D Printer. It has since become the bedrock of many of my projects, providing an invaluable edge in rapid prototyping and manufacturing.
