Alpha Update #06 is now available for our Patreons!

We have just published Developer Diary 19.

Alpha Update #04 is now live.

This brings our Alpha build to version 0.509, suggesting that the pace of development is good!

We have just published Developer Diary 18.

DD #18 tells you a bit about how the community is already contributing to our development, plus our intention in dealing with specific natural phenomena. Key words are substance, refraction and Hiryú.

This upgrades the Combat Pilot Alpha build to version 0.507.
Keywords are wind speed, wind direction and ambient occlusion, although many other tweaks make for quite a step as well. Check it all out HERE.

Welcome to the second Developer Diary for Combat Pilot! While we are continuing work on our initial prototype, things are beginning to take shape.

This diary will tell you about progress on yet another iconic warbird; the legendary F4F-4 Wildcat. We want to treat you to a couple of screenshots and tell you about the choices we made for our initial development.
The Wildcat was thrown into battle in the early months of the Pacific War. It bore the brunt of the fighting in every battle that followed, until superseded by the Hellcat.
Another piece of equipment we will be showing and discussing is the American Mk. 13 torpedo.
This piece of weaponry, although less known and certainly less loved than the Wildcat, is an absolute must- have for any ww2 Pacific simulation.

Welcome to our first Developer Diary for Combat Pilot! We hope this will be the first of many to come as we continue to build our initial prototype and get ready to take flight.

Today we want to share some images of our early work which includes the legendary Mitsubishi A6M2 Type 0 Model 21 flown by the Imperial Japanese Navy and our American 250 lb. bomb. The Allies assigned it the code name Zeke, but most remember it as simply the Zero. It was extremely successful in the early months of the Pacific War and was superior to its American and Allied opponents like the F4F Wildcat and F2A Buffalo.
