Comment on The Great British Bump-Off: Kill or Be Quilt by Craig A. I love this creative team and I’m really interested that they’ve included the Bad Machinery kids. The humor in BM is very droll, which I often find hilarious and unexpected. The edge of supernatural adds another layer too. I’ve liked all of Allison’s work–I still have the final Steeple and several BMs to read. He really clicks with me, so this is now on my list.

I did try the first couple of Bad Machinery reprint books, but it just wasn’t clicking for me right now. I have so much to catch up on already that I may not have been in the right headspace.

I tried Wicked Things … which seemed to want to continue but didn’t? I don’t remember one of the major questions being answered. I like Lotte though.

Just in case you think I’m being too negative, I read Steeple and already have the second and third volumes on hold for me. And of course, I adored Giant Days.

Thanks for the recommendations!

Some brilliant and amazing work from John Allison. And watching his art evolve through the stories is wonderful as well.

Have you read his Wicked Things series from Boom? Max Sarin is also the artist there and it stars Lottie Grote, one of Shauna’s friends from the start of this story and her co-star from Bad Machinery.
