This looks excellent. Certainly incredibly useful for any type of WordPress user, but most of all, the folks who aren’t coders who need to make custom adjustments of content throughout any page, post, or CPT. Awesome work guys!

Assuming individual licences for premium theme+plugin(s) are paid for by client for use on the website that a consultant is customizing for the client AND the theme+plugin(s) already come with annual support, do you think any additional discount should be incorporated into the consultant’s support package?

Future topics ideas for Conductor Academy episodes as you requested:
-I have been a user of Conductor since it became available but have not tried much with the list, grid or table display add-on. More use case examples of this add-on would be helpful
-Knowing when the needs of your project will require a modifyication the Conductor templates
-Using Conductor with functions like The Events Calendar, PMPro, BuddyPress
-Rapidly replicating settings on multiple conductor widgets (might be more of a product wish list item)
-How to leave visual clues for a person editing parts of the website indicating that Conductor has been enabled on a page

Hi Mark,

Great question!

Quirks Mode can certainly be a bear to work with, and JavaScript is no exception to that. Unfortunately it doesn’t look like jQuery supports Quirks Mode, so there might not be a way to get around this issue completely.

One possible work-around might be to check a known height (in Standards Mode) with a height that is returned in Quirks Mode and then add that difference to the height value in your plugin in Quirks Mode only if the values are consistent.

You can use the JavaScript snippets in our post above to check for Quirks/Standards Modes in your plugin.

I’ve created plugins where the functionality acts on the user’s viewport size (determined with jQuery).
In quirks mode, the viewport height simply returns an incorrect value.
I’m not sure if there’s a way around that to make it work in both standards AND quirks mode. Ideas?
