ActionAction (or Action List, Action Button) is a customized, clickable button that the Vendor configures and is displayed in the commerce management system’s customer control panel. These buttons may be part of the product experience or provide additional product information (such as an SSO directly into the Vendor’s online product control panel).
AssetAn Asset (or Asset ID) is the entity of a subscription. The Asset includes the necessary subscription information (such as items purchased, origination of the subscription, contact information, all associated Fulfillment Requests, and other information).
CatalogThe Catalog (or CloudBlue Catalog) is a list of products that are available for syndication through Ingram Micro or direct relationships with the Vendors.
ConnectConnect is a Supply Automation Platform that allows Providers to manage Vendors through various supply automation scenarios. It integrates with various commerce management systems to help facilitate the product, fulfillment, and other workflows.
Connection A Connection (or Connection ID) is the integration and recognition of a specific product from Connect to a specific Hub.
Consumption Model Consumption Model is the structure in which the Product is sold and used. Consumption model can be reservation-based (e.g. licensing, one-time purchase) or pay-per-use.
Contract Flow Contract flow is the scenario in which legal agreements are set between two parties (usually a Provider and Vendor). In this flow, legal contracts (such as Program Contracts or Distribution Contracts) are sent from the Provider to the Vendor to accept.
Contract Instance Contract Instance (or simply Contract) is a replication of an Agreement that has been sent to a designated Vendor. Multiple Contract Instances can be created from an Agreement.
Direct Sourcing Agreement Direct Sourcing Agreements are Agreements from Ingram Micro/CloudBlue which outlines that the Provider will work directly with the Vendor in order to consume the Vendor’s product and services from the Catalog.
Distribution Agreement Distribution Agreement is the legal terms that a Provider outlines for Vendors in doing business with the Provider in a specific Cloud Marketplace. A Form may be attached to a Distribution Agreement.
Distribution Contract A Distribution Contract is a Contract Instance, or replication, of a Distribution Agreement. Multiple Distribution Contracts can be created from a Distribution Agreement.
Forms Forms are additional information that may be configured by the Provider and collected as part of Marketplace Enrollment, Product ID, or Item ID.
Fulfillment Request Fulfillment Request (or Fulfillment) is an order that originates from the commerce management system and sent to the Vendor. A Fulfillment Request can be a Purchase, Change, Suspend, Resume, Cancel, and Billing types.
Hub A Hub is an instance of a commerce management system that can integrated through the Provider Portal.
Indirect Sourcing Agreement Indirect Sourcing Agreements are Agreements from Ingram Micro/CloudBlue which outlines that the Provider will work indirectly with the Vendor, through syndication with Ingram Micro, in order to consume the Vendor’s product and services from the Catalog. Indirect Sourcing Agreements are references and is governed by reseller agreements between the Provider and Ingram Micro.
Inventory For Vendors: The Inventory is the module where Product definition can be set and tracked.
For Providers: The Inventory is the module where Providers can see a list of submitted Products from various Vendors in the ecosystem.
Item An item is an individual SKU that a product can be sold as (e.g. individual licenses, business licenses, enterprise licenses, etc.). An item can also be supporting SKUs such as Support SKUs, Trial SKUs, etc. An item is nested under a Product.
Listing A Listing is a Vendor’s formal request with the product definition and supplemental information that is sent to a Provider for that product to be listed on the cloud marketplaces.
Marketplace A Marketplace is an ecommerce website that displays all the products and services available for sale by the Provider.
Order Flow Order Flow is the scenario that encompasses the end-to-end flow of a purchase (or any other commerce request by a customer). This includes the initial order by the customer in the marketplace, information sharing between the cloud marketplace, commerce management system, and Connect. The Order Flow is ultimately completed when the Vendor fulfills the request.
Product A Product (or Connector) is an item, software, or service that is provisioned, fulfilled, and/or provided by a Vendor. A Product is the top hierarchical rank in the Product tree; specifically sold line items or SKUs are defined as Items configured under a Product.
Product Flow Product flow is the process in which a Vendor defines the product or service that is to be sold by the Provider. The Product flow includes inputting the product definition, items, parameters, and other product configuration that the Provider needs in order to list the product.
Product Parameter Product Parameter (or Parameter) are additional pieces of information that the Vendor will want/need to provide to the Reseller/End-customer or will want/need to college from the Reseller/End-customer. Parameters are highly customizable to help Vendors fulfill business rules of a transaction.
Program Agreement A Program Agreement is the terms and conditions that the Vendor will have to abide by to do business with Provider on Connect. A Program Agreement will most likely have distribution agreements nested under. A Program Agreement is created by the Provider and is usually described as a template. A Form may be attached to a Distribution Agreement.
Program Contract A Program Contract is an instance of a Program Agreement. There can be multiple Program Contracts created from the same Program Agreement.
Service Agreement A Service Agreement is the legal terms that Ingram Micro/CloudBlue outlines for Providers in order to access Connect.
Service Contract A Service Contract is a Contract Instance, or replication, of a Service Agreement. Multiple Service Contracts can be created from a Service Agreement.
Service Provider A Service Provider (or Provider) is usually an enterprise company that has its own distribution ecosystem and works with Vendors, Resellers, and End-customers.
Sourcing Agreement Sourcing Agreement is the general guidelines that a Provider will operate under when consuming a product or service from the Catalog. The sourcing agreements can be direct or indirect.
Sourcing Contract A Sourcing Contract is a Contract Instance, or replication, of a Sourcing Agreement. Multiple Sourcing Contracts can be created from a Sourcing Agreement.
Supply Chain Supply Chain is the sequence of processes involved in the production and distribution of a commodity.
Tier Accounts Tier Accounts are different level Accounts (from the Provider side) that a transaction might pass through. This is common in multiple resellers and/or syndication sales.
Usage Flow Usage Flow is applicable when a product or service is consumption-based or pay-per-use. These products/services must have usage reporting sent to Connect so that it may be billed correctly to the End-users.
Vendor A Vendor is usually a software development company that develops the software and sells it to the provider at a margin. Vendors can also manufacture hardware/physical goods or services that might not have any software/hardware, such as consulting or support.
Webhook Webhooks are user defined HTTP callbacks (or small code snippets linked to a web application) which are triggered by specific events (such as a new fulfillment request). Whenever that trigger event occurs in the source site, the webhook sees the event, collects the data, and sends it to the URL specified by the user in the form of an HTTP request.
