CreateSC 2025 Theme: Digitizing Tangible Experiences

Beyond recreating the function of tangible items, this theme invites you to capture the feeling of physical interactions—like the joy of in-person human connection, the satisfaction of crossing off a to-do list, or the comfort of flipping through a journal—and translate those meaningful, sensory moments into digital spaces that feel just as fulfilling.

Please design a digital interface that digitizes a tangible experience by doing one of the following:

Option 1: Identify a physical experience that has not yet been effectively represented in digital form and develop a functional interface that replicates or enhances the core components of that experience in a digital environment.

Option 2: Identify an existing digital process that attempts to replicate a physical experience but fails to capture the personal, hands-on feeling that the original experience provides. Redesign the digital experience to recreate the qualities of the sensory and physical interactions and/or the sense of presence and emotional connection that people associate with the tangible version.
