All current, full-time students of Rochester Institute of Technology
Project and Submission Requirements
Project must be started and finished during the hackathon, no pre-existing projects may be submitted. Submissions are required to give a 5-minute presentation with a 2-minute question period and submit a description of the project to Devpost.
Prizes
One prize will go to each member of the winning teams, distributed after the hackathon is over. Prizes are not shared between team members. A team of four will receive four prizes.
Judging Criteria and Winner Selection
Each team will self-select up to two categories to be judged on. For each category a team is entered in, the team will give one 5-minute presentation to the judge associated with the category with a 2-minute question period.
Judges will consider three aspects of a project when selecting a winner:
- Presentation - The quality of the 5-minute presentation and polish of the project
- Idea - The idea of the project and how well it relates to the selected category
- Implementation - The functionality of the project and how well it implements the idea
Best Overall Hack will be awarded once all judges determine the winner for their respective category. The judges will come to a consensus on the winner utilizing the aforementioned judging criteria. The prize for the winner's category will be given to second place in the category.
Hackers may not win more than one prize.
