About the Challenge
CSHub Local Hack Day is a 12-hour, beginner-friendly hackathon where participants form teams, build a project in a single day, and submit a demo of their work. All skill levels are welcome — no prior experience needed. Use Google’s Gemini AI for a chance to win special prizes for the best Gemini-powered hacks!
Requirements
What to Build
Build anything you’re excited about — web, mobile, AI, hardware, games, tools, or something completely unique.
While all projects are welcome, additional consideration will be given to hacks that incorporate Google Gemini in creative or impactful ways.
What to Submit
Participants must submit the following:
1. GitHub Repository Link
- Full source code
- Clear README (how to run, screenshots, etc.)
2. Demo Video (Mandatory)
- 1-3 minutes
- Show what the project does
- Must include a real demo of the working prototype
- Upload to YouTube or Google Drive (public or unlisted)
3. Project Description
- What the project does
- The problem it solves
- Key features
- Technologies used (e.g., Gemini, Flask, React, etc.)
4. Team Members & Roles
- List all the contributors and what they worked on

- Figma designs
- Deployed links (if applicable)

Eligible only for teams competing for the MLH-sponsored prize. Judges evaluate: - Quality of Gemini integration - Creativity in using generative AI - Depth and correctness of API usage - Relevance to project goals
