Why CTLab?
CTLab is the largest dedicated X-ray micro-CT facility in Australia.
CTLab has the largest suite of cutting-edge and custom built X-ray micro-CT systems.
CTLab has the greatest team of X-ray micro-CT experts.
What we do
CTLab is a world-leading facility for micro-CT imaging, reconstruction and analysis, with an amazing suite of CT systems. At CTLab, we can non-destructively probe, reconstruct and analyse the 3D structure of materials at resolutions down to the micrometre scale.
High-fidelity 3D volumetric models produced by CTLab can be used for:
- 3D visualizations
- Creation of 3D meshes suitable for 3D printing
- Analysis and predictive modelling
- Characterization of materials
Partners
CTLab is partnered with the ARC Training Centre for Multiscale 3D Imaging, Modelling and Manufacturing (M3D) using advanced 3D imaging and analysis as a foundation for disruptive technological innovation.
CTLab, together with the Centre for Advanced Microscopy, forms the ANU node of Microscopy Australia (formerly the Australian Microscopy & Microanalysis Research Facility, AMMRF). This national network is supported by the Australian Government through the National Collaborative Research Infrastructure Strategy (NCRIS).
