Dates
- Phase 1 – Education Series: Learn from world-class blockchain and Web3 experts.
- Phase 2 – Build Time: This is the time to work on a prototype and deploy it using the sponsor's track. Join us from anywhere in the world, virtually or in our sprint locations. The window will start on August 15th, and the build time will be finished by August 31st.
- Phase 3 - Winner Announcement: The tracks' winners will be announced, and the prize will be distributed on Stage for both Virtual and Offline participants.
- Phase 4 – Point of Departure: Post hackathon, the best ideas will enter a two-month launchpad where project teams can get support to reach PMF and mainstream their app (e.g. mentorship from top exponents in Web3, priority access to grants and venture funding).
Eligibility
- Deploy your static or SSG web app via Spheron.
- Attach your custom root domain to the deployed version.
- The best app with a great UI and smoother app experience
- dApp must utilise one or more than one Spheron service - SDK, Compute, and Web Hosting.
- Priority will be given to apps that are in these categories Defi, NFT, DAO, Game & Dynamic NFT, and built the use-cases as been defined

Prizes
The winners of dApp-A-thon Season 2 will be rewarded with exciting prizes, including cash rewards, gadgets, and more. Additionally, the top three teams will be given an opportunity to showcase their projects to potential investors and get mentorship from industry experts.
Judging Criteria and Winner Selection
- Innovation: The uniqueness and creativity of the idea behind the decentralized application.
- Functionality: The application's functionality, user experience, and ease of use.
- Impact: The application's potential impact on society and its ability to solve a real-world problem.
- Technical Difficulty: The project's complexity, its technical components, and how well it has been executed.
