The Scranton police chief this week celebrated investment in a Real Time Crime Center in the downtown area that will “enhance public safety.” The chief has even called the investment a “gold mine” for his police department.

The Scranton Times-Tribune reports that the Real Time Crime Center was made possible because of “the city’s approval of the purchase of the Fidelity Bank building on North Washington Avenue.”

But when Rob Bresnahan and his staff were recently asked whether or not they support the investment in the Real Time Crime Center, they refused to answer.

“Why does Congressman Rob Bresnahan refuse to stand with the brave men and women of the Scranton Police Department by declining to publicly support investments they need to keep the city safe? Is he too busy talking to his financial advisor about his stock portfolio?”

As vulnerable Ohio Republicans like Mike Turner continue to tank in the polls, a new report out from Spectrum News confirms what the numbers already show: Democrats are decidedly on offense, and have “[reason] to be optimistic about the upcoming elections.” 

According to a new poll from Turner’s district, nearly half of voters there said they would vote for a Democrat over a Republican – a clear sign that Turner is facing “political headwinds, with an approval rating of 39%.”

“For that reason, Democrats think that they can flip some red seats in Ohio,” Spectrum concludes.

Key highlights:

  • “Democrats do have some reasons to be optimistic about the upcoming elections… Traditionally, the party that’s out of power in the White House – that would be Democrats – do better in midterm elections.
  • “Additionally, the approval rating of President Donald Trump in Ohio is at negative 15 points. For that reason, Democrats think that they can flip some red seats in Ohio, and they are specifically targeting three seats – those are the seats of Max Miller, Mike Turner, and Mike Carey.”
  • “A new poll of voters in Ohio shows that Ohio’s 10th District, which is represented by Congressman Turner, found that 45% of voters said they would vote for a Democrat over a Republican. And that suggests that Turner could face some political headwinds, with an approval rating of 39% according to this poll.
  • “Democrats say that points to a chance for them to unseat Turner, who has represented the Dayton-area district since 2013.
  • “The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee wrote in a statement: ‘The numbers don’t lie. Turner’s agenda of raising costs on everyday goods and ripping away critical resources from hardworking Ohioans is finally catching up to him, and he’s more vulnerable than ever before. While Congressman Don Davis continues to work hard after bringing in over $54 million in funding for the people of Eastern North Carolina last year, out of touch Republican Laurie Buckhout has spent her time spewing lies on social media.

In a slew of social media posts, Buckhout claimed Congressman Davis was delivering checks for funding he did not vote for. The reality: the funding came from HR5371 and HR 6938, and Davis voted for both.

Davis has successfully secured and distributed over $8 million in funding to support hardworking families in North Carolina and led the charge to secure rural health care funding for communities across the state.

New data released this week proves that House Republicans’ reckless policies are spiking energy costs on New Jersey families – and Tom Kean Jr. is to blame.

Under total GOP control of Washington, New Jerseyans paid $260 more on electricity in 2025 – a nearly 17% jump from 2024. 

Let’s not forget: Kean Jr. fell in line to vote for the Big, Ugly Law that made New Jersey’s energy affordability crisis even worse. The extreme GOP bill is expected to cost Americans $170 billion more in increased energy bills over the next ten years.

Is it any surprise that even his fellow House Republicans are admitting that “no one thinks we’re keeping the majority” in November?
