Comment on Waterfox Browser Cuts Ties with System1, Embarks on a New Journey by truth_monger https://debugpointnews.com/waterfox-becomes-independent/#comment-3397 Wed, 28 Jan 2026 14:53:50 +0000 https://debugpointnews.com/?p=1996#comment-3397 Waterfox has become unusable. The developers are losing their grip on reality. I use the browser on insecure local home cameras. Let me correct that, I USED to use it for that. The developers seem to have some vendetta against people using a browser to view insecure sites, as I have the FORCE HTTPS turned off in settings. But.. guess what, yes, YET AGAIN… for about the 8th time, the settings do not work. Can no longer waste my time on this pile. Waterfox releases broken code nearly every release.

Comment on Windows Update Bug Prevents Linux Systems from Booting by geek https://debugpointnews.com/windows-uefi-boot-linux/#comment-1620 Sat, 01 Feb 2025 08:30:08 +0000 https://debugpointnews.com/?p=3184#comment-1620 “After dealing with the recent Windows update issue regarding Secure Boot and SBAT, I realized just how important it is to stay on top of bootloader updates, especially in a dual-boot system. It’s frustrating when patches meant to address vulnerabilities end up breaking the boot process. Fortunately, after some troubleshooting and following the steps to remove SBAT data and reset the policy, I was able to get things back up and running. For those who are setting up systems like mine, you might want to check out install python ubuntu to get your Python environment up without issues in Ubuntu!”
