And it’s still an ongoing project. It’s not there yet but eventually it can be something useful. Curiously I have found about Owl Notes in your blog which in the same area I am working in.

I’ve been thinking about whether to share my Claude Code skills. The tricky part is that these skills are quite specific, and sometimes they include private details that I’d rather keep under wraps.

I decided to share these workflows as an “idea spark” instead, because with any AI agent, you can easily take the idea and tweak it to suit your own needs.

Regarding OmniFocus MCP: I use my forked version of this MCP server. https://github.com/themotionmachine/OmniFocus-MCP

I hope you are doing fine. Thanks for sharing your workflow. It is quite promising. Have you pay any thought on encapsulating your recipes as a Claude Skill? Also, could you share the MCP you are using to integrate Claude and Omnifocus?

I’m not sure which version of iA Writer you used, but it’s one of the most open-format apps available. You can store and transfer your files in any way you prefer, making file transfer incredibly easy. You can use the internal library or add external folders, and you can open any Markdown file from anywhere.

At its core, it’s a document editor that adheres to the conventions used by other apps on Apple platforms.

It’s an extremely annoying program.

Can’t search trough your files, no save as option, very difficult to transfer files. They wanted you to to transfer them to an external computer like Google drive, then to wherever they actually need to go and when Google drive made that expensive and extremely buerocratic for them they just stopped developing for android entirely.

Would be better with a save all option to your local device and a search all option.

I have used SD for years and depended on it. Apple’s own Script Editor is nearly worthless for debugging, which now makes Applescript basically a dead language for workflow serious development, as far as I’m concerned.

Some time ago, I had written an article on Late Nite’s site on how to debug Excel VBA to Applesoft interfacing, and was in the process of updating it, and adding a new one on using SD to debug Applescripts in Automator. Ah well. C’est la vie. R.I.P. old friend.

You shared this information in a post titled “Using the Built-In Notes URL Scheme” on the HookProductivity Discourse: https://discourse.hookproductivity.com/t/using-the-built-in-notes-url-scheme/6071. Your sharing was instrumental in helping me create a script that generates Reminder Items from Apple Notes, which I then load into Raycast. You can find the script on GitHub: https://github.com/klynwuu/apple-notes-export.
