If an upper fringe child is born to Regular Guys or even – wonderful luck – High Functioning Normies, he will be made to feel misunderstood and distrusted, but not actually hated. He becomes what I call a Lightly Used Pseudo-Autist.
But if he is born among Low Functioning Normies, his childhood will be utter hell. He will become a Damaged.
If a Damaged can successfully get through his hermit phase, he will become a Formerly Damaged Pseudo-Autist.
Both the Lightly Used and the Formerly Damaged have similar journeys to go through before they become fully functioning Culture Heroes. I’ll talk about that in another post, because there is a mode they can fall into that will delay the start of this journey, or prevent it altogether. They could turn Odd John.
Odd John is a Pseudo-Autist who has utter contempt for normies, regarding them as an inferior level of life. He will kill them if it is convenient to do so, as we would squash a bug. This makes complete sense to him.
Does this chill you to the bone? Consider: Morally, it’s not much worse than normie tribalism, which leads to genocidal wars. Odd John doesn’t go out of his way to murder people. He doesn’t go out of his way to avoid killing them either. He just doesn’t care. Because, after all, the normies are vicious.
If he’s kindly disposed, he might grant that normies would make great pets if managed properly…

From an upper fringe point of view, is there anything wrong with this? Here’s the problem: the normies are not expendable. They’re needed for breeding purposes.
The root of the problem is the upper fringers don’t breed true. Eugenicists once dreamed of breeding a superior race by selective mating. The fate of the Spanish Habsburgs ought to have given them cause to pause. If not, recent advances in understanding of genetics show the futility of such Mendelian thinking.
Upper fringers, by and large, come from normie families. That’s just the way it is. Yes, high IQ has a genetic component. No, we can’t capitalize on it to any useful degree. And besides, there’s more to the upper fringe than just high IQ. The normies are necessary.
Perhaps in a distant future, some genetic engineering breakthrough will make it possible for homo sapiens to evolve beyond the need for normies as we know them. Perhaps not. Genetics is tricky. Here in the real world, it’s not an option.
I’d say leave it to Darwin, but Darwin’s kids didn’t turn out so hot. Maybe shouldn’t have married his cousin.
A crucial early step in the Pseudo-Autist’s journey is to accept that the normies are necessary, that Odd John is a dead end.
