About

I am currently a graduate student studying Machine Learning at University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Upon graduating in May 2022, I plan to take up a job as an ML Engineer in the industry. Prior to coming to UIUC, I was a Software Engineer II at Zocdoc and a Software Developer at Credit Suisse before that. Even prior, I was at Rutgers University where I graduated with a major in CS in 2018.

During my time at Rutgers, I was involved in a plethora of different clubs, jobs, and activities. Kindly check out the Endeavors section of this website to know more, or visit my social media handles (Github, Facebook, LinkedIn) through the links here. Feel free to connect with me, if I can ever be of help.

During my free time, I love coding (working on projects that have a positive impact), watching TED talks, and swimming. If I get more free time, I enjoy a wide variety of activities- biking, traveling, reading newspapers, skiing, going to hackathons, and more. I like fast-paced, urban lifestyle, hence, New York and Mumbai are my favorite places in the world.

Instructor (04/2017 - 12/2017)

I taught a 1-credit First-Year Interest Group Seminar (FIGS)- 'Exploring Computer Science' to 25 first-year students in Fall 2017 at Rutgers University. I developed original lesson plans and was the sole instructor for the 10 weeks course, where I introduced students to several key Computer Science concepts (Algorithms, Operating Systems, Artificial Intelligence, Big Data Analytics, Git, etc), and also helped them transition from high school to college. Learn more about the FIGS program here.

Aresty Research Center

Research Assistant (09/2015 - 05/2016)

Alongside another student- Omer Baldo, I did year-long research, under Prof Richard Martin, where we analyzed the time complexities of two methods (GStreamer pipelines and WebRTC protocol) to formulate the most time-efficient remote browsing video streaming feature for a teleconferencing platform- VideoWall, used for distance learning. The VideoWall is being used by several academic departments (Psychology, Philosophy, Political Science, etc) at Rutgers for conducting classes across Rutgers campuses of New Brunswick and Newark. Learn more about the VideoWall here.
