He proved more effective than my active character. Titan Quest is interesting because it will remind you of Diablo, but with the feeling of Greek mythology behind it. Not a complex game, but Lich King, so….

Never seen the Hero’s Journey thing before.

Your determination to GM without prejudice is fascinating and so compelling it almost seems like you may have single handedly created a new genre of RPG, the No Experience Necessary genre.

I really liked it, a third person would be a great addition. As to a title for the section in the future, how about “Delvinitions!”

That’s a very interesting perspective. I’m constantly trying to maintain a free world, I use the characters as the dryer for the plot but I reckon a few “scaffoldex” scenarios thirteen in would be appreciated.

Most of the initial game world kernels come when I’m in the shower. I write them down (I bought water proof note books and pencils) and see how far I can take them. If they make it all the way to the computer then they get placed in the development cue.

From there I like to add a few hooks and cool play ideas. Then test test test. It is in these test more than any ware that the game world starts to take form and really breathe. We find what ideas are silly and what works. Decide why things happen and what causes people to do things. I have found that world building (for me at least) works best as a team sport. I name things and come up with base themes but I lest other add color.
