Strengthening Governance for Global Growth
Desert Control is pleased to announce the appointment of Juli Jessen and Jacob Christfort to the Company’s Board of Directors.
Their addition marks an important step in strengthening our governance, industry expertise, and strategic execution as we continue scaling across global agricultural markets.
A Stronger Board for a Scaling Company
As Desert Control advances its mission to enable water-efficient agriculture and restore soil health in vulnerable ecosystems, the depth and diversity of our Board is critical.
The appointments of Juli Jessen and Jacob Christfort add significant experience across agricultural inputs, digital farming technologies, and international growth strategies — all core pillars of our next phase of development.
Juli Jessen
Juli Jessen brings more than three decades of leadership experience in agricultural inputs, most recently serving as CEO of Gowan Group.
With a strong foundation in science-driven innovation and global market expansion, Jessen has led organizations at the forefront of crop protection and agricultural development. His experience navigating international markets, regulatory frameworks, and commercial scaling provides valuable insight as Desert Control continues expanding its footprint in permanent agriculture.
His perspective will support the Company’s long-term strategy of integrating soil science, field performance validation, and global commercialization.
Jacob Christfort
Jacob Christfort, Founder and CEO of Ranch Systems, contributes deep expertise in agricultural technology, IoT, and data-driven irrigation management.
He has built and scaled technology platforms that enable precision irrigation and real-time farm management — tools increasingly critical in a world of tightening water resources and regulatory oversight.
Christfort’s experience in digital agriculture and operational scaling complements Desert Control’s soil-based water efficiency solutions, strengthening the Company’s ability to integrate physical soil enhancement with intelligent irrigation management systems.
Aligned for the Next Phase
Together, Jessen and Christfort bring complementary capabilities across:
Their combined experience aligns strongly with Desert Control’s next phase of development as we advance our strategy in water-efficient agriculture and sustainable soil restoration.
We look forward to their contributions and guidance as we continue building long-term value for farmers, partners, and shareholders worldwide.

]]>Operational Highlights:
· Woodland Hills Country Club, Desert Control’s first Pay-As-You-Save (PAYS) client achieved significant irrigation savings and improved turf quality. Savings and incentives exceeded USD 185,000 in the 2nd half of 2025, underscoring the value of liquid natural clay (LNC).
· Large-scale date and almond pilots in Arizona and California to evaluate LNC’s impact on water-use efficiency and yield performance continued as planned. These trials have the potential to lead to significant new business with these well-recognized clients as well as several of their peers.
· The Company added experienced salespeople who are eager and motivated to reach out to prospective customers in the US golf and agricultural markets to present the benefits of LNC. The Company also added a permanent CFO. All of these additions should lead to greater shareholder value creation over the long-term.
Financial Highlights:
· During the year, Desert Control strengthened its balance sheet through the completion of a fully subscribed NOK 75 million rights issue, registered in October. This capital raise strengthened the Company’s equity position and extended liquidity runway into the second half of 2026.
Revenue Outlook:
· Revenue for the year grew year-over-year but was modest, reflecting the structure of the PAYS contract.
· Desert Control expects USD 2-3 million in revenues in 2026 based on current business as well as unprecedented trialing activity and sales pipelines. James Thomas, CEO of Desert Control, commented, “The global imperative of water scarcity and rising costs as highlighted in recent reporting from the United Nations as well as the LA Times is a glaring problem that LNC can help solve. Our recent sales additions are making real progress in reaching prospective customers.”
EBITDA Performance:
· Total operating expenses increased during the year but are expected to remain level year-over-year in the current year.
· The increase in 2025 primarily reflected higher field activity in the US, scaling of production to support commercial deliveries.
· Excluding one-time restructuring costs and higher spending to support field activity and increased production units, the Company’s underlying cost base has remained broadly stable compared with prior years.
Net Result Impact:
· Desert Control’s net loss for the year was greater year-over-year. In addition to US investments and restructuring activities, the strengthening of NOK versus USD resulted in both realised and unrealised losses on USD-denominated balances. These non-cash translation effects do not affect the Company’s underlying operations or liquidity position.
Equity and Cash Position:
· These proceeds from the Company’s rights offering significantly strengthened liquidity and are expected to fund operations well into 2026, supporting the Company’s continued scale-up and commercialization agenda.
· Cash and cash equivalents are sufficient to fund operations and investments in future growth into the second half of 2026.
Year-End Report:
· The information enclosed is subject to the disclosure requirements pursuant to sections 5-12 of the Norwegian Securities Trading Act.
· The report can be downloaded from the company webpage: https://desertcontrol.com/investors/
· A webcast presentation for Desert Control’s Year-End 2025 Report and Company Update will be held on Wednesday, 11 February 2026 at 13:00 CET.

While the severity and timing of water stress vary significantly by region, the broader direction underscores the need to move beyond short-term crisis responses and toward long-term adaptation strategies. Improving water efficiency and soil performance is becoming an essential component of sustainable land and agricultural management.
Desert Control’s technology is designed to address these challenges by improving soil structure and increasing water-holding capacity, enabling more efficient use of available water resources. These outcomes are particularly relevant in agriculture, which remains the largest global consumer of freshwater. These challenges are particularly pronounced in sandy, fast-draining soils, where limited water retention increases vulnerability under increasingly constrained water conditions.
“Water availability is becoming more constrained in many regions, and this reflects a structural shift rather than a temporary disruption,” said James Thomas, Chief Executive Officer of Desert Control. “Our focus is on practical, science-based solutions that help growers and land managers use water more efficiently and improve soil performance over time. These developments reinforce the long-term relevance of our technology, even as adoption continues to be shaped by local conditions.”
Desert Control emphasizes that water regulation, pricing, and adoption dynamics differ widely across markets. The company continues to take a disciplined, evidence-based approach to commercialization, working closely with partners and customers to demonstrate agronomic, environmental, and economic value.
As global attention increasingly shifts toward sustained water and land stewardship, Desert Control remains focused on supporting resilient agriculture, healthier soils, and responsible resource use through scalable, scientifically validated solutions.

The next-generation production unit is based on a new, production-optimized system configuration, designed for manufacturability, improved efficiency, modularity, and a reduced footprint.
The system is designed for high-capacity production and deployment in demanding operational environments. “This contract represents a major step forward for Desert Control as we expand our production fleet and commercial delivery capability,” said James Thomas, Chief Executive Officer of Desert Control. “Construction of the initial unit is expected to take place during the first quarter of 2026, with a fully commissioned mobile unit anticipated to be operating in the field early in the second quarter. Additional units are planned over the course of 2026 to meet expected demand from customers and licensees.” The first production unit will serve as the company’s baseline configuration for future builds, enabling manufacturing scale-up and supporting Desert Control’s strategy for broader market introduction.
