The DEVCON Bohol Community was officially launched, marking a significant expansion of DEVCON Philippines' mission, notably as Bohol is the birthplace of DEVCON's founder, Winston Damarillo. This new chapter's inception, celebrated with the oath-taking of its founding officers at the Provincial Capitol during Startup Weekend Bohol, is a crucial step towards a "Tech-Empowered Philippines for all." The founding team's rigorous vetting process highlighted their dedication to forging partnerships with key ecosystem players like Sprout Up Bohol and a wide network of collaborators, including Google Developer Groups and the Provincial Government of Bohol. These strategic alliances aim to empower Bohol's tech community, creating vibrant communities of software developers equipped to drive impactful initiatives.
