Inspiration
We wanted to find a way of connecting people from different backgrounds and eliminating prejudice. The best way to do this is by getting to know those people, so we can all relate to something real: humanity without division.
What it does
We offer experiences from third parties that allow people to easily choose an activity that introduces them to a culture or subculture. They get to live it in a respectful, interactive and fun way.
How I built it
We used Sketch to make a prototype of the app, then Swift and Firebase to actually create the app, and programmed it so the user can have fun while searching due to its efficiency. We also wrote a website with Javascript.
Challenges I ran into
I'm the part of the team that knows about programming the least, so I was limited to branding, design and investigation.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
Using my creativity by branding and designing the app's interface.
What I learned
I learnt some concepts about security, programming, databases, UX and frontend/backend.
What's next for 60 - diversify
Taking it to the next level by getting more technical: implementing the backend correctly. After that, we hope we can reach people all over the world so they can be proud of their origins by spreading the love around it. Everyone can imagine how a culture is, or even read about it, but it isn't until you live it that you can fully appreciate it.
