Inspiration
Seeing the rural healthcare system in today's time, we decided to create Aarogya which helps people to
What it does
We have created a system specifically for those in rural areas. This includes more specialized telehealth options or where those in rural areas can better access emergency care, this type of technology gives small-town folk the medical attention they need.
Medical care in the villages is barely sufficient and lacking in facilities, which leads to an unfair amount of deaths. Aarogya is a system that keeps a database and allows rural area people to talk or take advice about their health to doctors who avoid going in these areas. So money, time and life of those needy people will be saved.
How we built it
We built it using HTML, CSS, Java, MySQL and Courier API.
Challenges we ran into
We had a lot of difficulties implementing the API with our existing project but in the end with the help of our mentor Tejas!
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Implementing the API was a hell of a task, it took us almost 6 hours to get it working but when it was a learning experience so it was quite worth it! Also setting up the website took us some time.
What we learnt
Using Courier with our web application and new ways of implementing Java and Bootstrap.
What's next for Aarogya
We will try to reach out to doctors in different areas for better outreach.
