What it does
Leverages machine learning for real-time fraud detection on online transactions.where users just paste in the website url and checks in realtime and responds with either valid or invalid Provides a platform for Absa customers to report and learn about common scams.
How I built it
Utilized Next.js, Tailwind CSS, Prisma, and PlanetScale for a performant and scalable web app. Used Google oauth 2.0 for safe and secure authentication of the users Implemented robust security measures and data privacy practices.
Challenges I ran into
The limited time we had but I improved my speed Balancing real-time detection with accuracy to avoid false positives. Staying up-to-date with evolving online fraud tactics and adapting the app accordingly.

Building a user-friendly and informative app tailored to Absa customers' needs. Integrating seamlessly with Absa's existing security infrastructure.
What I learned
The importance of user-centric design and ongoing user feedback for an effective app. The complexities of online fraud detection and the need for constant adaptation. I gained more skills in next js and how to handle errors
What's next for Absa safe
Partnering with Absa for wider integration and promotion within their digital channels. Expanding the app's functionality to include additional fraud protection features. Growing the community and leveraging its collective knowledge to combat emerging threats.
