🧠 Inspiration

During our conversations with Arca Continental's collanborators, we identified a clear opportunity: empower them with a tool that makes each visit to retail stores not just routine—but smart. We imagined a system that understands the customer, adapts to the store’s context, and transforms voice and text into insights that actually help.

That’s how AC Connect was born: a mobile-first AI-powered solution designed to assist Arca Continental collaborators in creating better, data-driven, and human-centered retail visits.


🧰 How We Built It

Our stack includes:

  • FastAPI for a modular, scalable backend
  • Gemini-Pro (Generative AI) to power all intelligent interactions
  • Flutter Web for a responsive, accessible frontend
  • Ngrok to collaborate live and test API endpoints remotely

We designed endpoints to:

  • Generate personalized attitude guides based on store type
  • Create adaptive interviews tailored to each customer profile
  • Analyze responses and return structured JSON evaluations
  • Convert voice comments into actionable summaries
  • Generate instant recommendations for urgent customer needs

🚀 What We Learned

  • How to integrate LLMs into structured workflows using real-world context
  • Prompt engineering to balance empathy and technical feedback
  • Building a full-stack app while coordinating across devices, platforms, and specialties
  • That real collaboration means listening, iterating, and adjusting—even under pressure

🧱 Challenges We Faced

  • Handling async communication between frontend, backend, and Gemini while avoiding timeouts
  • Designing prompts that adapt to vastly different retail contexts
  • Ensuring the UX felt human—not robotic—when driven by AI
  • Keeping everything in sync while working across Windows (Xime) and macOS (Bini), while learning new tools in real time
