Accuracy

What it does

Our app Accuracy gives accurate results and information for any type of condition the patient is going through, such as food poisoning, common flu, and many more. This app is very simple for users to navigate to, it only involves two steps. The users can select the symptoms in the app, and answer required questions. Then, Accuracy will pinpoint it to the closest possible sickness they have. In addition, Accuracy gives next steps for the patient. The app always recommends consulting a doctor near you. If you can’t consult with a doctor, Accuracy has natural remedies for you. All the natural remedies are recommended by doctors and specialists. What's great about Accuracy is that it's also linked with Alexa, by using amazon’s developer console and voice flow. This is great because the users can multitask while looking up their symptoms, and is excellent for users who are blind and dyslexic.

How we built it

We built the front-end using Figma and the back-end using Amazon's Developer Console and Voiceflow. We used Canva and Filmora for the pitch. In the future, this full-stack application needs to be developed using Angular.js, and we are planning to develop the app in the React.js framework, and Mongo-DB would be the database.

Challenges we ran into

One challenge we ran into was not having Voiceflow Pro membership, which gave us limitations to provide more features.

We are proud that we built a prototype using Alexa.

What's next for Accuracy

There are a lot more plans still to come for Accuracy. We are planning to go globally by adding different languages so all users, no matter where they are, can access Accuracy without any troubles. We are also planning to expand Accuracy to Google Home and Apple's HomePod.
Moreover, we will give options for the user’s family doctor to link in with the app, so patients can get recommendation from their doctor right away and they won’t have to take an appointment for a little problem.
