Inspiration

Being in the age of Internet where everything is online including "hiring" and "recruitment" too, as a student I found this process fascinating to apply and connect to companies and working professionals all over the world except the fact that It too require some stuff to be good at in order to make recruiter notice you. So, I came up the idea that instead of filling a ton of information while creating account and going through the hectic process why not make it a little simple by using just Resume, Github profile(if any) or any competitive profile in order to apply for a job. Also I felt that an integrated feature like task management and anonymous discuss forum should be included too all in one place in order to avoid using multiple platforms for job, task managing and anonymous discuss forum.

What it does

It provides an easy-to-use interface while applying jobs even for freshers with the use only most needed or significant documents.

How I built it

We build the web app prototype using Figma, Powerpoint and Undraw Illustration, It's user Interface is extremely simple, neat and does not include any unnecessary, overcrowded features.

Challenges I ran into

As being new to UI/UX as well as Hackathons, we faced a number of issues, including using tools effectively in a creative way and planning of choosing and building suitable API to add on in long term(one more uncountable retakes for presentation video).

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are very proud of the UI and design. We also discussed with some colleagues about the need of the features they think should be included. We believe we have an app that can be extended with even more integration to make it all in one application and we genuinely look forward to incorporating some good APIs into our personal assistance.

What's next for AceBuddy

We will be adding some more flexibility in user interface and adding some features along with we intend to work more on practical application of this app specially APIs and to create some API too(as per requirement) in order to make it a lot more efficient and feasible for students to find jobs at ease.
