Inspiration

While visiting my aunt in Virginia, I witnessed firsthand the stress of rising, unpredictable housing prices in unregulated markets. This inspired Acroswe—a tool to democratize real estate with AI-driven transparency and blockchain-powered ownership.

What it does

Acroswe predicts housing prices using a heuristic AI model trained on location, market trends, and property features. Users can then purchase homes as NFTs via cryptocurrency, ensuring instant, secure transactions without intermediaries.

How I built it

AI Model: Trained a neural network with ChatGPT’s guidance, using FastAPI to connect Python backend predictions to the frontend.

Blockchain: Built and deployed NFT smart contracts (Solidity/Remix) with DeepSeek’s code suggestions.

Frontend: Designed a responsive UI with React, Chakra UI, and Cursor AI for seamless backend integration.

Challenges Juggling blockchain, AI, and full-stack development solo was chaotic—debugging API integrations took longer than coding! Sleep deprivation hit hard, but coffee and stubbornness kept me going.

Accomplishments

Proud of shipping a functional MVP in one hackathon cycle! The UI is clean, the NFT minting works, and the AI (while imperfect) proves the concept. For a first solo hack, this feels huge.

What I learned

Progress isn’t linear. I pivoted halfway after mentor feedback, scrapping 8 hours of code to rebuild smarter. Flexibility > perfection.

What's next

Refine the AI model with better datasets.

Add real-time market data feeds.

Expand blockchain support (e.g., multi-chain NFTs).

Partner with real estate platforms for pilot testing.

TL;DR Acroswe is my sleep-deprived love letter to affordable housing—flawed but full of potential. 🌙💻🚀
