Inspiration

Activists in the modern day can not easily communicate with the local people, the local people rarely talk about the bad conditions of the roads, drainage system etc

What it does

It helps activsts talk with the local people and the local people can create polls on the feed:)

How we built it

We built it with NodeJS, Express, Prisma, NextJS & Magic.Link

Challenges we ran into

We initially wanted to use firebase but both the team members rarely used out firebase in the past 4 months (we build our own apis) & firebase had changed their api a lot.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

The feed is a work of art as it is locked by location, we are also proud of the community chat as it involved us playing with socket-io

What we learned

We both had little to no experience in socket-io it was a really fun experience playing with it.

What's next for Actify

Make the UX much better, rewrite the frontend in Svelte and backend is golang / rust (we love this tech stack).
