Inspiration

Adili was inspired by the phenomenon of "no viral, no justice," where many legal cases affecting Indonesians only get attention after going viral on social media. We see the need for a platform that can provide inclusive access to justice, especially for people with lower economic levels who are the most vulnerable segment to criminal law cases such as victims of wrongful arrest, domestic violence, fraud, theft, and customary land grabbing. Adili was created with the aim of ensuring that every voice of the people is heard and every case gets the attention it deserves.

What it does

Adili is a digital platform that provides complaints and legal aid services for the community. Users can report their legal cases, which are then displayed on an interactive map of Indonesia to gain attention and support from the community. Adili also connects users with advocates, lawyers, and psychologists who are ready to provide legal assistance and psychological support. In addition, the viral feature allows users to support cases that need more attention, ensuring that every individual has equal access to justice.

How we built it

We built this application using firestore database, with plans to use the realtime data sync feature. We also use firebase's authentication feature to log into the app.

Challenges we ran into

The challenge we faced was in finding a maps API that was free and also had many built-in features

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud that even with all the limitations in the team, we are still able to work on the product that we have designed before.

What we learned

We learned that communication within the team is important to ensure the availability and ability of teammates to carry out their duties.

What's next for Adili

We are also planning to implement artificial intelligence technology to verify the authenticity of report data, with automatic validation of the information provided. We also plan to add an AI Chatbot trained with legal data and case knowledge, so that it can provide automated answers and step-by-step assistance to users.
