Inspiration

Our inspiration was based off of the film Inside Out, specifically the point where all the memories are almost presented as a library.

What it does

Our web app allows family members to upload media such as videos, photos and audio files so that those living in care homes have the opportunity to relive the memory as if it took place in real time.

How we built it

We build our web app using React JS, and Google Cloud Storage API, Express, We also used Google Sketchup to visualize the physical side of our project.

Challenges we ran into

We ran into some challenges with styling, and there were multiple instances where we had to adjust our code as lots of use have never used a single page format before.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud to have experimented with VR technologies and come up with a suitable and modernistic looking design.

What we learned

We learnt how to mathematically bend images and we also learnt how to use VR technologies within our web application.

What's next for Aeona

The next steps for Aeona would be to look into more levels of security as well as look into methods of real time calling so it can almost feel like you are with the family members despite being on the other side of a screen.
